MISSION STATEMENT:
The Carbon County Library Foundation Inc. is a volunteer organization which raises and administers funds to provide financial assistance to the Carbon County Library System and to encourage literacy in Carbon County.
PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION:
The Carbon County Library Foundation Inc. exists to encourage and administer gifts, endowments and memorials for the general library programs, or any specific items for the libraries and to sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community. It is not involved with the administration of the Library System itself.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF ITS MEMBERS:
Members of the Foundation Board are invited to remain on the board as long as they feel they can be a productive member. It is expected that each member will faithfully attend monthly meetings and contribute time and talent to fundraising and other activities as it is possible to do so.

The Wyoming Legislature, in their 2008 legislative session, approved the Library Endowment Challenge giving Wyoming libraries the opportunity to raise $9 million dollars.
Any donations to the Carbon County Library Foundation will be doubled by the state of Wyoming and placed into an endowment for the Carbon County Library System.
